Actually I know this adorable boy who was out as both pagan and gay in rural texas from 8th grade on. I assumed that must have been really tough, but being adorable and charming he apparently didn't really have many problems. He said he got the most homophobic comments from guys he had already hooked up with. My favorite story was how one time he was walking down the hall one monday and this jock starts yelling at him about how he's a faggot, etc. And he just walked right up to him and said "And who was sucking your cock saturday night?" He said after that all the "straight" boys had the sense to be civil to him. You'd like him. I should introduce you sometime.
